The game was released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, along with a version for the Nintendo Wii developed by Vicarious Visions and another version for the PlayStation 2 by Budcat Creations and PCpor version Aspyr Media. The game was released on June 26, 2008 in Europe and June 29 of that year in North America. The game is sold as a package specially designed for the guitar-shaped controller as well as a package of the game only.
